Our set of six exotic animal prints are giclee reproductions from the original steel engravings by Friedrich Specht, one of the most prominent German animal artists of the 19th century. Featured in the 1887 edition of The Natural History of Animals, a scientific general survey of the animal world, these prints present a realistic yet romantic interpretation of exotic wildlife during the Victorian era. Pictured here are an Indian elephant with her baby, a group of kudu in a forest, a herd of giraffes on a savannah, a mother leopard with a den of cubs, a pride of Senegal lions, and a zebra pair with emus in the distance. Expertly framed and made to order in the USA , each print has a solid burl wood frame with ecru matting and a border of complimentary "flame" library paper. Set of 6.
