This beautiful pair of bird prints are faithfully reproduced from Georges Cuvier's well known folio, The Animal Kingdom first published in France in 1817. Using the finest printing process, Cuvier's Tanager, and Woodpecker are expertly rendered with vegetation, fruits and nuts from their natural habitat. Our striking 5.5" ikat printed linen mat in rich tones of red accent the sprite Tanager's body and woodpecker's tufted comb. Each print is double matted with a contrasting .25" black inner mat. Framed in a fancy carved 3" hardwood frame with gold edges and gilt acanthus leaf corners. Our right-facing Tanager and left-facing woodpecker are available individually. Made to order in the United States.
