Grosvenor Games Desk
A more discreet interpretation of a games table, our Sheraton-inspired desk presents the finest in 18th century English furniture design. A hand-carved ribbon and swag motif over a rose medallion centers both sides of the fluted, serpentine apron. Right-hand drawers perfectly suited for game pieces and desk sundries are seamlessly hidden within the hand-carved apron. At the corners, sunflower cast brass escutcheons top tapered reeded legs, terminating in a block foot. In a rich mahogany, the desk center slides off on brass rails to expose a burl and rosewood marquetry backgammon board beneath. Reverse the center and return it to the desk to reveal an inlaid checkers & chess board. A hand-carved chess set and discs are included.
