Our coordinating Asian root armchairs and center table are made of winter-harvested goldwood vines from the mountains of northern China . After being submerged in water for six months, these dense roots become pliable and their bark can be removed before being fashioned into these intricate yet Zen-like pieces. The table top and seats are made from kiln dried antique Chinese elm wood. Both pieces have whimsical trellised features with a graduated fence apron. Equally at home in an entry hall or for intimate dining both indoors and out, the possibilities are endless. If left exposed to the elements, they will turn the soft color of driftwood.
