Rococo Carved Looking Glass
The fluidity and balanced rhythm of our solid mahogany, beveled looking glass borrows ornate Rococo styling. Using traditional woodworking methods, an artisan hand-carves the entire frame. Sweeping scrolls cross to form both the top and the base of the mirror. At the crown, elaborate acanthus leaves reach upward as stylized leaves arc downward. Each corner is adorned with a repeating gilded and stylized acanthus leaf motif. Our mirror is hand-rubbed and finished in a warm medium brown walnut, providing a beautiful contrast to the gilded decorative highlights. The beveled mirror is slightly antiqued, replicating its 18th century European origins.
