Our Four Seasons Prints are reminiscent of 18th century painter, William Hamilton's original paintings. Styled after reverse paintings on glass that replicated his original work, the rich jewel tones are luminescent. The serene genre scenes depict popular activities of the four seasons. Beautifully costumed figures dance around a May pole, reap summer's bounties, fish by a stream, and enjoy a mid-winter afternoon of skating on a frozen pond. Each print is set in a double oval bronze linen mat with an inner border of dark brown, setting off the rich colors of each print.
