As if taken from the pages of the epic "The Aeneid" by Virgil, our pair of Love & Tragedy Greek prints presents a glimpse into classic Greek mythology. Erato, the Greek muse associated with lyric and love poetry, walks with Cupid, the oft companion of Eros, god of love and beauty. In her hand, a lyre and around her shoulders, a billowing blue shawl. Didon or "Dido" is shown in her final hours as the Queen of Carthage atop a pyre. Her fate met when she uses the sword her lover, Aeneas, gave her to take her own life. Sold in pairs.
