Heron Prints
The 1890s brought forth a new trend in the decorative world known as the Aesthetic Movement. At its foundation, geometric shapes and a prominence of nature are mixed with Japanese motifs. Our Heron Prints are taken from this page in design history. A perfect circle with a Heron and their natural habitat centers each print. Surrounded by wetland reeds and willows; a soft ripple breaks the light blue water in the background. Surrounding the scene is a coordinating squared soft blue border; a Japanese-influenced block foliate design fills the negative space. A wide, 6" white mat sets off the prints soft tones while the 1.75" hardwood frame is comprised of inset bamboo reeds surrounded by a rosewood-colored border. Set of 2.
